A spiral conveyor is a screw conveyor application, in which the actual screw conveyor is comprised of a spring spiral surrounded by an outer pipe made of wear-resistant polyamide (Nylon).

The powder material being conveyed is forced to the centre of the spring spiral, whose high rotation speed moves the material. Although a spiral conveyor can also be installed in an arc, the bend will cause wear if the conveyor is heavily used.

These conveyors offer a light construction and are economical. They are extremely well suited for small conveying capacities (0.5-4 m³/h) and if conveying distances are relatively short (1-13 m).
